South Korea, US to step up development cooperation

South Korea and the United States have decided to step up development cooperation in Indo-Pacific and Africa, Yonhap news agency reported.
Soutk Korea’s Second Vice Foreign Minister Kang In-sun held talks with the head of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to discuss ways to strengthen their partnership, according to Korean foreign ministry. During the meeting between Kang and Samantha Power, the chief of USAID, the two sides agreed that bolstering their partnership in the field of international development cooperation is “essential” for the advancement of their “global comprehensive strategic alliance.”
They agreed to explore projects in the Indo-Pacific region and Africa in a range of fields, including anti-corruption, climate change, health and digital.
