Sharjah Ruler approves new parks in Kalba

HH Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved the Kalba public park project at Al Ghail
district in Sharjah.
The project will include shaded rest houses, BBQ areas, sports facilities and public services utilities.
Ali bin Shaeen, Chairman of Sharjah Public Works Department, told the Sharjah Radio that the Department of Planning and Survey will allocate a large plot of land for the park, which is part of the Department’s development plan for municipal councils.
“The Kalba Park will be modelled and designed to the Sharjah National Park’s specifications and maintain high safety and protection systems so as to become a round-the-year attractive tourist and recreational destination for families and visitors,” he added.
He also revealed that the Ruler of Sharjah gave his consent for building a rubber walkway in the Sidra Women’s Garden and instructed the Department to start work on the Al Saf and Mafraq gardens. Two other gardens were approved by the Ruler in Al
Sayouh districts 4 and 6.
