SEDC, CEPEX to double volume of exports

The Sharjah Exports Development Centre (SEDC) affiliated to the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Tunisian Exportation Promotion Centre (CEPEX) have discussed doubling the volume of exports of both sides through a series of initiatives and boosting their contribution to Gross National Income (GNI) in addition to exchanging experiences in supporting productivity and industry through marketing and promotional plans, and programmes in various economic activities and events.
This came during a meeting between Mohammed Ahmed Amin, Assistant Director-General of Communication and Business Sector at the SCCI, and Aziza Htira, President and Director-General of the Exportation Promotion Centre of Tunisia, affiliated to the Ministry of Trade, in the presence of Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of Economic Relations SCCI along with a number of officials from both sides.
The meeting looked into the possibility of signing an agreement of cooperation between the two centres to contribute to the development of a joint working mechanism to enhance cooperation relations and build a strategic partnership, serving the private sector for both of them, as well as to set a timetable for the exchange of visits between officials in the two centres to benefit from the expertise of each party.
