The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), is holding daily special Ramadan events for public bus drivers at Al Awir Bus Depot. The move is part of RTA’s activities befitting the Holy Month of Ramadan, and a further manifestation of the UAE initiative declaring 2017 as #Year_of_Giving.
“The Ramadan events included religious activities, cultural quizzes, lectures and sports activities namely, soccer and table tennis tournaments. The public transport agency presented valuable prizes to winners and served a mass Iftar to public bus and intercity bus drivers,” said Abdullah Al Meer, Director of Drivers Affairs at RTA’s Public Transport Agency.
Drivers expressed their delight and appreciation of this noble initiative by the Public Transport Agency for the third year running.
