Ras Al Khaimah / Emirates Business
Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) has toured five key European countries as part of its ongoing promotional strategy to increase visitor numbers from core and emerging source markets across the continent. Kicking off the roadshow in Brussels, the Authority then attended a number of tailored travel trade and media events across Amsterdam, Moscow, Milan, Paris, St. Petersburg and Zagreb, to raise awareness of the destination’s expanded culture and leisure offering to key trade and media influencers.
Welcoming over 400 travel trade and media, RAKTDA provided an overview on Ras Al Khaimah’s attractions, natural beach, desert and mountain assets, and latest product launches rolling out across the geographically diverse landscape of the UAE’s northernmost emirate. “International markets are crucial to our goal of achieving 1mn visitors by 2018 end, and we have seen significant growth in both core and emerging source markets so far this year,†said Haitham Mattar, CEO, RAKTDA, which develops and regulates emirate’s tourism infrastructure and initiates its domestic, overseas promotions.
