Pak bizmen tap prospects at Kizad

Encouraging businessmen from Pakistan to add on to the already flourishing bilateral economic relations between UAE and the South Asian nation, Abu Dhabi Ports and Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT) elaborated upon the integrated offerings from Kizad and Khalifa Port.
The exclusive business event organised by Abu Dhabi Ports and ADT, in collaboration with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Pakistan Business Professional Council (PBPC), looked into the possible ways integrated services can be used to provide impetus and support to new and existing Pakistani businesses in the Emirates.
The world-class infrastructure and the outstanding access to markets offered for businesses by Kizad, the integrated trade and industrial hub of Abu Dhabi, were elaborated during the event titled “Opportunities in Abu Dhabi – A Maritime Trade, Industrial and Logistics Hub”.
HE Asif Durrani, Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE, who is also the chairman of PBPC, delivered keynote speech at the event, which attracted over 80 prominent Pakistani businessmen from across the UAE.
“The Embassy and the PBPC are happy to be part of this event that will also contribute to the bilateral economic relations between Pakistan and the UAE, while offering new opportunities to our business persons. I am sure Kizad is an ideal location that can attract Pakistani business persons in the UAE and in Pakistan to expand their business,” the ambassador said.
Mana Mohammed Saeed Al Mulla, CEO of Kizad, said, “Abu Dhabi Ports always takes initiatives to work with the businessmen as we both share the common goal of economic development of the UAE and the world at large. The synergy of partnerships and collaborations always bring out wonderful results and we look forward to the same from our engagement with the PBPC,” he said.
“The dynamism of Pakistani businessmen in the UAE and in Pakistan is well-known and their contributions to historical relations between both nations are commendable. We hope that our business offerings will extend a new platform of opportunities to further fortify the existing relations,” Al Mulla added.
Martijn Van De Linde, CEO of Abu Dhabi Terminals, said, “Khalifa Port Container Terminal offers the ideal hub location for the Pakistani business community due to our location midway between Dubai and Abu Dhabi and integration with Kizad. Our outstanding productivity levels and fast truck turnaround times ensure that cargo moves fast through the port, thus reducing costs for our customers.”
