New twin turbo engine for Infiniti

All-new compact and lightweight 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine production kick starts at Nissan Motor Co.’s state-of-the-art engine manufacturing facility, the Iwaki Plant in Japan. The application of this specially designed engine would be witnessed in Infiniti Q50 sports sedan which would be making its debut in the Middle East by the third quarter of 2016.
The engines in Infiniti Q50 sports sedan will have a number of additional technology upgrades, Infiniti with Q50 aims to deliver empowering performance and a more rewarding driving experience.
“The multi-award winning Infiniti Q50 has been one of our best performing models in the region accounting for a sales increase of 110% with almost 1,900 vehicles delivered to customers in 2015,” said Juergen Schmitz, Managing Director, Infiniti Middle East told Emirates Business.
“ We are confident that with the introduction of our new 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo power plant, offering outputs of 400HP and 300HP, it will help to further the successes of this model when it is launched in the Middle East later this year,” he added.
It would also be available for Q60 sports coupe, which was recently made its premiere at the
Geneva Motor Show this year. Designed and engineered to perform, and benefitting from the advanced technology of the V6 engine, the Q60 will play an important role in the sports coupe segment.
