Musanada completes work on ZHO’s rehabilitation centres

Abu Dhabi General Services Company, Musanada, in collaboration with the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs (ZHO) completed all works related to ZHO’s two rehabilitation and care centres in Madinat Zayed and Ghayathi in the western region, as part of efforts to implement the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and with the attention and follow up of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, which aim to deliver facilities and establishments that provide training, rehabilitation and education to special needs categories, contributing to development of their capabilities and potential to become active members of their community, engaging effectively in the comprehensive development process witnessed by the UAE.
Saeed AlMehairbi, Buildings Director and Acting Education Director, Buildings, said, “Musanada is keen to implement the directions of our wise leadership, exerting all possible efforts to construct modern and integrated rehabilitation and care centres that provide exemplary services to those with special needs in line with highest standards, meeting their requirements, ZHO’s expectations, and the aspirations of special needs categories so that they can become active members of the community.”
“Both centres contain facilities that provide support services to children with special needs,” added AlMehairbi. “These include a library, playground, six classrooms, rooms for speech therapy and other rooms to encourage feelings, occupational therapy, nursing and examination, as well as rooms for hydrotherapy, vocational therapy, administration offices and a multipurpose room to practice all sports, that can be converted into an auditorium, sports room or a gym.”
“Madinat Zayed Rehabilitation and Care Centre stretches over approximately 7,500 square meters, and has cost approximately AED24 Million. The total floor area of the Ghayathi Centre is approximately 7,225 square meters”, concluded AlMehairbi. “During the construction phase, Musanada has been keen to implement all necessary capabilities to provide comfort and safety to users of the two buildings, ensuring the implementation of highest international and engineering standards, in order to create an appropriate environment to develop and support individuals with special needs, ensuring the provision of a sustainable system that could preserve various resources in these two centres.”
