MR. PORTER.COM, the award-winning online global destination for men’s style, recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. The online company marked the occasion in a variety of ways across all content and commerce channels including – dedicated fifth anniversary issues of The Journal and The MR PORTER Post, a 20-piece capsule collection of exclusive essentials and a special social competition featuring the anniversary’s logo, a traditional bowler cap.
Inspired by the existing MR PORTER ‘Essentials’- the never-out-of-style everyday items that comprise the modern man’s wardrobe, the buy team have curated a selection of dedicated, limited edition and exclusive essentials that represents a range of the world’s best products, all designed and inspired in the spirit of MR. PORTER’s grayscale aesthetic and signature branded black and white colourways. The range includes A.P.C., Berluti, Boglioli, Common Projects, Cutler & Gross, Drake’s, Gitman Vintage, Incotex, John Lobb, Lacoste, Leica, Lock & Co Hatters, London Undercover, Mackintosh, Maison Martin Margiela, Todd Snyder x Champion and Phaidon.
As part of MR. PORTER’s suite of fifth anniversary products, the team at MR PORTER also partnered with BMW for the first time to produce a bespoke limited edition MR PORTER BMW i3.
This groundbreaking collaboration has seen the design teams from both MR. PORTER and BMW i combine their expertise to create a truly unique product. Inspired by the Tuxedo, one of the most enduring and stylish garments in menswear, the car has substance as well as style – the MR PORTER team has added the aesthetic finesse expected, whilst the BMW i designers bring a new meaning to the word premium, defined by their commitment to sustainability.
