Mohammed to honour 45 Emirati pioneers to mark 45th National Day

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minster of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai will honour 45 Emirati pioneers and distinguished entities, taking part in the ‘Year of Reading’, at the 3rd edition of UAE Pioneers Award 2016, which will be held on November 28.
The Award celebrates the pioneers’ important contributions to the nation in the various fields at a grandiose national ceremony coinciding with the 45th National Day celebrations, held in Abu Dhabi.
Earlier, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed directed to dedicate this year’s edition of the UAE Pioneers Award to 45 individuals, local and federal entities and institutions that have played a vital role in promoting reading in 2016. The organisers of the Award have selected the honorees after assessing each nominee’s eligibility.
For the two previous years, the UAE Pioneers Award saw the honouring of a host of Emirati pioneers in innovation and inventions as well as persons of initiatives and achievements. The honorees were included in the book of “UAE Pioneers” in commemoration of their relentless efforts and to serve the UAE.
