Mohamed meets IMF Managing Director

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday received at his majlis in Al Bahr Palace, the visiting International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director, Christine Lagarde, and her accompanying delegation.
Sheikh Mohamed welcomed Lagarde and discussed with her bilateral relations between the UAE and the IMF as well as ways to enhance them.
Lagarde spoke about the role played by the IMF to enhance the global economy and follow-up steps taken in some
member countries to achieve the necessary economic and financial stability
for growth as well as it role played in supporting countries to address their economic issues.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed and Lagarde exchanged views on a number of economic and development issues and the latest developments in the global economy as well as ways to address them, which would contribute to achieving development and stability in the region and the world.
