Mohamed, Iraqi FM discuss bilateral ties

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday, received Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim Al Jaafari, and members of the official delegation accompanying him, at Qasr Al Bahr.
Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the Iraqi Foreign Minister and discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations in a way that serves the mutual interests of the UAE and Iraq.
They also discussed developments in both Iraqi and Arab arenas, as well as current efforts to resolve crises in region and overcome challenges such as extremism and terrorism. They stressed the importance of co-ordination and solidarity among Arab countries to safeguard the region’s security and stability. They also touched on regional and international
issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, and Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council.
Also present were HH Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region; HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Sheikhs and senior officials.
