Kalba Bird of Prey Centre to launch live shows

The Kalba Bird of Prey Centre, operating under the umbrella of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA) in Sharjah, is excited to announce the launch of its
entertainment shows for the winter season.
The shows will be fun for all members of the family and will offer a unique jaw-dropping experience with live demonstrations of birds of prey from October 2016 until April 2017.
The centre’s amphitheatre will host astonishing shows, introducing visitors to trained birds of prey centre in an attempt to both entertain and educate. The shows will provide a great deal of information about every participating bird, be it from an endangered species or otherwise.
HE Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, Chairperson of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA) in Sharjah praised the continuous support of HH Sheikh Dr Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to the EPAA, for allowing the Authority to preserve the environment, protect and breed endangered species, and maintain their natural ecosystem.
She comments: “Thanks to the support given by HH Ruler of Sharjah to our organisation in order to achieve our efforts to protect the environment. Kalba Bird of Prey Centre, which is considered the first of its kind in the United Arab Emirates and the Middle East. The Centre strives to revive the heritage and traditions of the region and to introduce its visitors to these magnificent birds for both entertainment and education purposes. This will make the community aware of the birds’ environmental and cultural importance.”
