“Horouf,’ the innovative educational imprint of Kalimat Group, a publishing house dedicated to printing and distributing quality children books in Arabic, will hold a winter camp for children. Titled ‘Shitaa Bil Arabi’ (Winter in Arabic), the event, which has been established to offer youngsters fun and educational activities throughout the winter holidays, will take place at Maktaba, Al Qasba, from December 25 to January 5, 2017.
Horouf’s winter camp will feature a series of interactive activities, including drawing, painting and handicrafts, as well as reading sessions, sports events and competitions of ‘Qartoos,’ an electronic game launched by Horouf last year.
The camp will also include learning sessions featuring the Horouf smart learning application. The two-week event will motivate children to explore and research, as well as endear the Arabic language to them.
“We organised the winter camp with the aim of promoting the Arabic language to children and instil within young minds a love of reading. We also wanted to encourage youngsters to gainfully use their free time during the winter holidays with useful activities that can nurture their talents and hone their skills. Kids participating in the camp will be able to enjoy the array of entertainment and educational activities that we have designed in a programme that brings together education and fun,” said Tamer Said, Managing Director of Kalimat Group.
“We encourage parents to enroll their children at winter camp as it will provide unforgettable educational and entertainment experiences for their kids. The camp’s programme will help to simulate children’s talents, strengthen their sense of responsibility and broaden their intellectual capabilities,” he added.
Children can attend the camp for the entire programme’s two weeks, for one week or for a single day. There is a 10 percent discount for siblings participating in the programme. Parents who would like to enroll their children at the ‘Shitaa Bil Arabi’ camp should call: 06 544 0040.
