Dr Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, visited the UAE consular section and visa-issuance centre, opened recently in the Egyptian capital.
The centre, the fifth to open outside the UAE, will speed up issuance of Emirati visas for Egyptian and expatriates and streamline entry of Egyptian workers to the UAE through e-gates at points of entry.
The Minister acquainted himself with procedures at the new centre, designed to match international standards and improve customer service. The system used at the centre is one of the world’s most efficient as it reduces time for submitting applications and issuing visas. Gargash was accompanied by UAE Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Juma Mubarak Al Jenaibi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
