Emirates Securities Market up by 0.72 percent

The Emirates Securities Market Index has increased by 0.72% to close at 4425.32 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has gained AED 5.12 billion attaining AED 717.84 billion. A total of 217.7 Million Shares were traded with a total value of AED 320.86 million during the trading session of 29-03-2016 through 3663 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 57 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 25 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 19 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Dubai Parks & Resorts PJSC came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 47.25 million distributed over 38.09 Million Shares through 371 transactions. Emaar Properties came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 31.06 million distributed over 5.37 Million Shares through 325 transactions.
Invest Bank shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 2.01 with 14.86% increase during the trading of 0.62 Million Shares with a trade value of AED 1.24 million. Whereas Abu Dhabi Ships Building shares Increased by 4.75% to close at AED 3.09 during the trading of 43 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 121.31 Thousand.
Al Khazna Insurance Co has achieved the lowest decline by -8.82% to close at AED 0.31 during the trading of 8500 Shares with a trade value of AED 2755. Followed by RAK Bank which dropped by -4.61% to close at AED 6.00 during the trading of 2.1 Million Shares with a trade value of AED 13.07 million.
Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 3.399%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 55.09 billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 56 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 50 companies. As of 29-03-2016, the Telecommunication sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 15.2830% to settle at 3694.03compared to 3204.32 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 7.18% to settle at 5188.69 points. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with an increase of 6.60% to settle at 3803.60 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 3.80% to settle at 1991.70 points. Followed by the Services sector index with an increase of 3.25% to settle at 1434.35 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with a decrease of -2.1% to settle at 3261.16 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -3.2% to settle at 1232.05 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with a decrease of -3.5% to settle at 2778.36 points. Followed by the Energy sector index with a decrease of -4.6% to settle at 67.8821 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -4.9% to settle at 924.409 points.
