The Emirates Securities Market Index has increased by 0.76% to close at 4530.34 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has gained AED 5.52 billion attaining AED 734.88 billion. A total of 1 Billion Shares were traded with a total value of AED 1.25 billion during the trading session of 12-04-2016 through 10422 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 61 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 28 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 23 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Arabtec Holding Company came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 252.37 million distributed over 141.42 Million Shares through 1225 transactions. Deyaar Development came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 101.25 million distributed over 146.49 Million Shares through 1059 transactions.
Abu Dhabi National Building – BILDCO shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 0.55 with 10.00% increase during the trading of 0.55 Million Shares with a trade value of AED 273.49 thousand. Whereas Al Khazna Insurance Co shares Increased by 6.06% to close at AED 0.35 during the trading of 78.2 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 27.34 thousand. AXA Green Crescent Insurance Company has achieved the lowest decline by -8.70% to close at AED 0.84 during the trading of 717 Shares with a trade value of AED 602.28. Followed by Sudan Telecom – SUDATEL which dropped by -3.28% to close at AED 0.59 during the trading of 1.91 Million Shares with a trade value of AED 1.16 Million. Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 5.853%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 64.22 billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 61 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 42 companies.
As of 12-4-2016, the Fin/Investment sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 14.2923% to settle at 4077.71compared to 3567.79 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Telecommunication sector index with an increase of 14.2% to settle at 3660.37 points. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 13.4% to settle at 5491.14 points. Followed by the Energy sector index with an increase of 12.1% to settle at 79.8407 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 8.19% to settle at 2075.81 points. Followed by the Services sector index with an increase of 4.76% to settle at 1455.33 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with a decrease of -0.7% to settle at 3309.14 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with a decrease of -1.3% to settle at 2842.74 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -2.1% to settle at 1244.93 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -4.4% to settle at 929.326 points.
