The Emirates Securities Market Index has decreased by -0.58% to close at 4682.01 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has lost AED 4.4 billion attaining AED 759.48 billion. A total of 387.88 Million Shares were traded with a total value of 0.64 Billion AED during the trading session of 26-04-2016 through 5762 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 67 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 16 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 36 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Emaar Properties came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 103.27 million distributed over 15.2 Million Shares through 625 transactions. Arabtec Holding Company came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 84.71 million distributed over 50.56 Million Shares through 713 transactions.
International Fish Farming Company shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 7.65 with 10.39% increase during the trading of 100 Shares with a trade value of AED 765. Whereas National Marine Dredging Co shares Increased by 8.11% to close at AED 6.00 during the trading of 94.13 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 0.56 million.
Fujairah Cement has achieved the lowest decline by -9.60% to close at AED 1.13 during the trading of 205 Shares with a trade value of AED 231.65. Followed by RAK Bank which dropped by -7.63% to close at AED 5.45 during the trading of 122 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 0.67 million.
Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 9.397%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 73.58 billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 69 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 38 companies.
As of 26-04-2016, the Energy sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 21.7089% to settle at 86.6828compared to 71.2214 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Telecommunication sector index with an increase of 17.6% to settle at 3769.43 points. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 16.9% to settle at 5660.41 points. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with an increase of 13.9% to settle at 4063.86 points. Followed by the Services sector index with an increase of 11.0% to settle at 1542.81 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 9.43% to settle at 2099.69 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with an increase of 2.77% to settle at 2960.66 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with an increase of 1.91% to settle at 3396.34 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -2.4% to settle at 948.751 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -2.9% to settle at 1235.98 points.
