Dubai Electricity and Water Authority’s, DEWA, has organised a training course on Social Return on Investment (SROI) as part of its commitment to training employees and raising their level of awareness about economic and social development, to achieve DEWA’s vision to become a sustainable innovative world-class utility.
The course was organised in cooperation with the Institute of Leadership Management, ILM, working under the umbrella of Social Value UK, and Social Value International. DEWA is the first organisation in the UAE to organise such a course. The training course took place in February at DEWA’s Sustainable Building. “Our cooperation with ILM supports the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to focus on staff development, as our employees are essential to the growth of Dubai fuel the on-going development of this city,” said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA.
