Cyber threats fire up intel industry

As technology takes grip over UAE’s corporate world, reliance of industries on intelligence services to tackle cyber threats is poised to grow manifold in the coming years. By 2018, 60 percent of enterprises will utilise commercial threat intelligence services to secure their security strategies.
This has been revealed by Gartner’s 2015 Market Guide for Security Threat Intelligence Services in a recent study.
Over the years, the UAE has seen a steep rise in the number of companies offering security solutions to businesses in the region.
According to a report by another US-based consulting firm, UAE’s expenditure on outsourcing cyber security business is expected to increase up to 16 percent by January 2017. UAE enterprises are mainly prone to malware attacks that aim at stealing companies’ confidential details, sneaking into cloud storages and extorting ransom money.
