A never-before-seen entertainment extravaganza is set to capture the hearts and minds of audiences in this year’s edition of the Abu Dhabi Summer Season, as first-time comedy greats and a thrilling illusion show descend upon the capital city from all corners of the world.
Running between July 7 and September 11, venues across Abu Dhabi will present a myriad of scintillating debut experiences for entertainment enthusiasts, residents and visitors alike to enjoy.
Best known for starring in hit comedy movies Little Man and White Chicks, as well as the satirical Scary Movie 1 and 2 and recent blockbuster movie 50 Shades of Black grossing more than $736 million in the U.S domestic box office, Marlon Wayans takes to the stage at Emirates Palace for the first rendition of his hilarious stand-up comedy act in Abu Dhabi. If you fancy a night of laughs, mark your calendar on 19th August for the Marlon Wayans’ once-off comedic stage show.
Not to be outdone, and likewise debuting his comedy show in the UAE, is Indian television’s comedy guru, Kapil Sharma, as he headlines the Kapil Sharma Comedy Show at Al Raha Beach Theatre on August 12th. Kapil’s career took to the limelight in his native country, clinching accolades for his ability to inspire infectious laughter from his audiences. Winner of the ITA Awards 2013, where he took home Best Actor – Comedy and Best Serial Comedy, Kapil is guaranteed not to disappoint as he tickles the audiences with side-splitting comical relief.
To round up the comedic performances set to grace Abu Dhabi’s stages for the first time, hugely popular GCC comedian Tarek Al Ali premiers his latest theatrical production “Heart for Sale†alongside actors Ahmad Al Faraj and Mais Kamar for two nights at Abu Dhabi’s National Theatre on August 4-5. Inspired by Arabic culture and real life experiences, Ali’s sketches are sure to set the audiences alight with roaring laughter.
