Chanel has revealed a new version of its legendary J12 watch, originally launched in the year 2000, just in time for the Baselworld watch and jewelry show, running March 17-24 in Basel, Switzerland. The new J12 has a mirrored dial for a design that plays with light and reflections with sophisticated style.
Chanel regularly adds to its J12 collection with new watches sporting innovative designs or original complications, such as the J12 Moonphase the J12 Tourbillon Volant and the J12-365.
This year, fans of the iconic timepiece will see the J12 Mirror add a model with a mirrored dial with a white lacquer center and white Arabic numerals. As if suspended on the dial’s mirrored face, the numerals seem to float in a captivating and ever-changing play on light and reflection, which changes each time the wearer moves.
The main technical specifications of the J12 remain unchanged, so the new model inherits star features like Chanel’s white high-tech ceramic and steel strap, which is particularly resistant to scratches.
The watch uses a self-winding mechanical movement. It has hours, minutes and seconds functions, and a 42-hour power reserve.
The Chanel J12 Mirror is available in versions with a 33mm or a 38mm case, or with a high-precision quartz movement.
