Dubai Police, RIT-Dubai sign deal

Dubai Police signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rochester Institute of Technology, Dubai campus (RIT-Dubai), a leading American University based in Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO). The agreement opens doors for collaboration between the two parties towards boosting the knowledge, skills, and expertise of police officers serving the emirate of Dubai.
Dr Juma Al Matrooshi, Deputy CEO of Operations and Client Affairs at DSOA, and Major General Dr Al Salal Saeed Al Falasi, Director of the Department of Administrations at Dubai Police, signed the MoU at the Dubai Police headquarters. Also present were Major Mohammed Al Asmawi, Acting Director of Employee Happiness in the HR Department, First Lieutenant Hussein Al Jaziri, Head of the Office of the Assistant Director of the Department of Administrations, both from Dubai Police, Dr Khalid Khawaja, Vice President of Academic Affairs at RIT-Dubai, Saleh Yammout, Assistant Vice President of Finance and Administration at RIT-Dubai, and Aidan Al Janabi from the Legal Department at RIT-Dubai.
As per the agreement, RIT-Dubai will admit candidates employed with Dubai Police to the undergraduate, postgraduate, or Executive Leadership programs available at the university at subsidized fees. Employees of Dubai Police will also be invited to attend workshops, seminars, and forums organized by RIT-Dubai.
Dr Juma Al Matrooshi, said: “We are proud of the progresses made by the Dubai campus of the Rochester Institute of Technology in boosting its position as a preferred educational and knowledge partner for Governmental and private entities in Dubai. This MoU speaks volumes of the expertise and knowledge that is ready to be shared with those interested in benefiting from the holistic programs available at the university.”
