Dubai Land Department (DLD) has won two prestigious titles at the Ideas Arabia Competition 2017, which was launched by the Dubai Quality Group in 2006 to celebrate ground-breaking innovations that have been implemented by institutions over the past year and achieved qualitative results. DLD won first place in the ‘Happy Customers’ and ‘Technology’ categories for its ‘Real Estate Services Trust’ and ‘Rental Disputes Center’ initiatives respectively.
His Excellency Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of Dubai Land Department, commented: “DLD’s participation in this competition is aligned with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to foster innovation, creativity and sustainable development, and invest in human resources to develop a road map for reaching new heights of creativity. Winning these two awards reflects our commitment to making innovation a common culture at DLD and all of its departments, as well as a daily practice among all our employees, to further the aspirations of our wise leadership and serve the UAE society.â€
His Excellency Judge Abdulqader Mousa, Chairman of the Rental Disputes Center (RDC), added: “We are honoured to have won these awards, which are testament to our success in fulfilling our mission and duties according to RDC’s vision. RDC has proven its important role in establishing trust and confidence among various parties including landlords, tenants and investors, and will continue to improve its operations through the adoption of best
practices in intelligent litigation.â€
