MoE, Montenegro to boost economic coop

Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, and Darko Uskokovic, Ambassador of Montenegro to the UAE, discussed expanding economic and trade co-operation between the two countries.
During their meeting, held at the Ministry of Economy headquarters in Dubai, the two sides co-ordinated the special preparations for the Joint Economic Committee meeting between the UAE and Montenegro.
The two sides also reviewed the most prominent investment opportunities and areas of co-operation, focusing on air transport, agriculture, tourism, industry, and small and medium enterprises, which are witnessing accelerated growth rates, in light of the promising capabilities and potentials of the two countries that contribute to creating promising constructive partnerships.
Al Mansouri noted that the economic and trade co-operation between the two countries has developed significantly, but it still does not reflect the size of capabilities and potentials of the two countries. He also predicted that the immediate future will witness still further development, in light of the increasing interest of Emirati investment companies in a number of development projects in Montenegro.
The Ambassador of Montenegro expressed his country’s desire to establish stronger economic relations with the UAE, noting that Montenegro has many attractive investment opportunities, especially in the tourism, agricultural and industrial sectors.
He also explained that past years witnessed the establishment of a constructive partnership between the two countries through access to UAE investments in a number of infrastructure projects in the tourism sector, which will result in major progress in this area.
