His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received on Wednesday a telephone call from US Secretary of State John Kerry. During the phone call, they discussed friendship and co-operation between the UAE and the United States, and ways to enhance them to serve the common interests of the two friendly countries.
Sheikh Mohamed and Kerry reviewed the current situation in the region, particularly the Syrian crisis, and its security and humanitarian repercussions. They also tackled the Yemen issue and ways to address it. Further, they discussed the international community’s efforts in the fight against violence, extremism and terrorism, as well as the fight against terrorist organisations.
