Alubond invests AED50mn in A2 fire resistant panels

Alubond U.S.A is a global market leader in aluminium composite cladding with successful installations in more than 90 countries. Alubond U.S.A has increased its production capacity of A2 fire resistant (FR) panels by setting up 6 million sqm of A2 production capacity in UAE. The new plant with an investment of 50 million Dirhams, is a first in UAE and second in Middle East after Turkey . Alubond U.S.A is the only A2 brand in UAE and Middle East which has obtained the UAE Civil defense certification.
The new production lines adds to its existing A2 panel production facility in Turkey, the first in the region. It makes Alubond U.S.A the largest producer of A2 fire resistant panels in the Middle East. Alubond U.S.A has set a gleaming example of producing safe cladding products, for other competitors to follow.
Alubond U.S.A has always been a thought leader in the cladding industry of UAE, by taking proactive measures in product testing and certification. In the wake of the UAE fire incidents, it was the first company to come forward and announce zero tolerance for production of non FR panels.
Alubond USA is the first brand in the Middle East to be successfully certified for A2 fire rated cladding panels. It is the first Aluminum composite panel in the UAE market, to have tested successfully for the complete Aluminum composite wall systems, according to the American test standards for NFPA285, recognized by the UAE civil defence. This has resulted in Alubond being fully compliant with the fire and life safety code laid down by the UAE civil defence.

Alubond has an existing 2 million square meter capacity, state of the art production line in Turkey for A2 FR panels, and will add three lines of 2 square meters capacity in its Sharjah production facility, taking its total capacity of A2 FR panels to 8 million square meters per year.
