Al Ain Zoo earns accreditation from Association of Zoos and Aquariums

Al Ain Zoo has received accreditation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), marking a significant milestone that reflects the zoo’s steadfast commitment to implementing the highest international standards in animal care, environmental conservation, and wildlife protection.
This prestigious accreditation is considered one of the most rigorous and respected in the global zoo and aquarium industry. The zoo underwent a comprehensive and meticulous evaluation process that covered various operational areas, including animal health, quality of veterinary care, visitor and staff safety, risk management, guest experience, and environmental sustainability programmes.
The Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) is an independent international body that grants accreditation to institutions that demonstrate full compliance with the best global practices and standards in animal care and environmental management.
