His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, accompanied by H.E. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Council and Chairman of Dragon Oil, officially inaugurated the 7th edition of the Gas & Oil Technology Showcase and Conference (GOTECH 2025). The event, held under the patronage and presence of His Highness at the Dubai World Trade Centre, welcomed high-level international participation from energy leaders, experts, and innovators under the theme: “Empowering the Future of Energy Through Digital Transformation, Innovation, and Sustainability.”
GOTECH is one of the region’s leading technical conferences for the oil and gas industry. Co-organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and Dragon Oil, the event serves as a global platform for sharing expertise and showcasing cutting-edge technologies that shape a sustainable energy future amid rapidly evolving global trends.
The opening ceremony witnessed the attendance of senior officials from the energy sector, ambassadors and consuls of countries where Dragon Oil operates—including H.E. Ahmed Al Hay Al Hameli, UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan—along with high-level government delegations, participating companies, and event sponsors.
H.E. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and Chairman of Dragon Oil, stated:

In his keynote address, Eng. Ali Rashid Al Jarwan, CEO of Dragon Oil and Honorary Chairman of the Organizing Committee, emphasized that the presence and patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed reflect the UAE’s commitment to driving digital transformation in the energy sector and strengthening Dubai’s role as a global hub for knowledge and technology.
