The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) is participating in the 18th edition of the Al Dhafra Festival, which commenced in Sweihan, Abu Dhabi.
The event is organised by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority and will continue until January 30 2025. During the festival, ADAFSA will provide logistical and veterinary services to camel owners and livestock breeders at various Mazayna locations, including Sweihan, Razeen, Madinat Zayed, and the concluding Al Dhafra Festival.
ADAFSA will also operate a mobile veterinary clinic staffed with a team of veterinarians and technicians. Additionally, veterinary services will be extended to the owners of livestock farms and breeders at
the festival, including laboratory tests, diagnostics, and appropriate treatments.
Participants will have access to eight free veterinary services, including treatment, farm and livestock spraying, blood tests, surgery, and the dispensing of medicines.
Veterinary experts from ADAFSA will offer advice on best farm management practices, including herd health management, parasite control, and the proper nutrition of livestock using concentrated feeds.
By participating in the Al Dhafra Festival, ADAFSA demonstrates its commitment to supporting the agricultural sector and promoting animal welfare in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
