H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met today in Bratislava with Robert Kaliňák, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Slovak Republic, in the presence of Juraj Blanár, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic.
During the meeting, which took place as part of Sheikh Abdullah’s working visit to the Slovak Republic, they discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and prospects for cooperation in various fields, including economic, trade, investment, and energy sectors.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah expressed his sincere wishes for the full and speedy recovery of Robert Fico, Prime Minister of Slovakia.
The UAE top diplomat and Kaliňák reviewed the bilateral cooperation between their countries within international organisations and reviewed regional and international developments, particularly in the Middle East.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed his pleasure in visiting Slovakia, emphasising the mutual commitment to establishing solid foundations for fruitful and sustainable cooperation between the two countries across various sectors to support their efforts in driving comprehensive development and sustainable economic prosperity.
The UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that the bilateral relations between the UAE and the Slovak Republic are continuously growing and developing, with a mutual commitment to enhancing them to serve the mutual interests of both countries and benefit their peoples.
He also expressed his best wishes for continued progress and prosperity to Slovakia and its people.
The meeting was attended by Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs, and Hamad Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to Austria, and Non-resident Ambassador to the Slovak Republic.
