The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi announced its newest programme in Al Ain, ‘Al Qattara Cinema’, a platform to introduce UAE film-makers to the world. It aims to familiarise audiences with UAE films and their various artistic manifestations, providing a cinematic platform that marks local filmmakers and brings them closer to audiences as well as reinforcing the link between local community and the arts. The programme will make its debut at Al Qattara Arts Centre with a film screening of The Lights of Rome,
directed by Emirati filmmaker Ali Khaled.
