‘UAE Youth’ to empower Emiratis to lead future

DUBAI / WAM

The UAE Government Leaders Programme (UAEGLP) launched a new category ‘UAE Youth’ Programme, in collaboration with the Emirates Youth Council, to empower and prepare competent young nationals to lead the country’s future across all strategic sectors.
The new category is the fourth to be added to the wider UAE Government Leaders Programme, which also includes the Strategic Leaders Programme, Executive Leaders Programme, and Future Leaders Programme. The UAEGLP has trained top-tier leaders and decision makers across several government authorities and departments in the country. The new programme, nonetheless, specifically targets the youth segment and is set to be implemented over a period of eight months.
“The UAE Youth programme reflects the government’s awareness of the role young people can play in the development projects and the future industry,” asserted Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Happiness and Director-General of the Prime Minister’s Office.
The Minister explained that the new programme echoes the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and his faith in the youth as the UAE’s primary asset. His Highness had called for training young Emiratis and investing in their talents and potential to fuel the UAE’s progress and its successful sustainable development campaign. “The programme heeds Sheikh Mohammed’s call to spread happiness and positivity throughout UAE society,” she added.
