The Federal National Council (FNC), Parliamentary Division will participate in the 27th Conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union and the 23rd session of its Executive Committee, which will be held in Cairo from April 4-5, via a delegation led by Marwan bin Ghalita, First Deputy to the FNC Speaker.
The UAE Parliamentary Division delegation will include FNC members Mohammed bin Kardous Al Ameri, Khalid bin Zayed Al Falasi, Ahmed Yousef Al Nuaimi, Ahmed Mohammed Al Hammoudi, Salem Abdullah Al Shamsi, Khalfan Abdullah bin Youkha and Naema Abdullah Al Sharhan, as well as Ahmed Shabib Al Dhaheri, FNC Secretary-General.
According to the Vice President and Secretary of the 27th Conference, the next agenda will be approved and the conference’s participants will be briefed on the reports of the Union’s President and Secretary-General, while the reports of the 22nd and 23d Executive Committee meetings will be discussed and approved. The conference will also include speeches by heads of parliaments and delegations on the current situation in the Arab region, as well as by organisations with observer status.
The permanent committees will also hold their meetings, most notably the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee, the Women’s and Childhood Affairs Committee, the Political Affairs and Parliamentary Relations Committee, and the Committee on Drafting the Closing Declaration.
