UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call on Sunday from Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
During the call, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation, particularly in the economic, trade, investment, and development sectors, to advance mutual interests and support development priorities in both countries as part of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis also reviewed several regional and international issues of common concern, particularly the situation in the Middle East and the ongoing crises in Gaza and Lebanon.
In this context, they emphasised the importance of intensifying efforts to achieve a ceasefire, ensuring full protection for civilians in accordance with international humanitarian law, and addressing the worsening humanitarian situation.
They stressed the need to work to prevent the expansion of regional conflict that threatens security and stability and establish a clear political horizon for a just and comprehensive peace based on a two-state solution that guarantees security and stability for all.
