UAE, Ireland sign bilateral agreement on air transport

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, continued holding bilateral meetings with his counterparts on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 73), at the UN headquarters.
His Highness met Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mauritania; Kang Kyung-wha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Korea; Simon Coveney, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland; Sven Mikser, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia; Teodor Melescanu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania; Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, and Didier Reynders, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of Belgium.
During the meetings, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed discussed with his counterparts bilateral relations and means of developing and strengthening them across diplomatic, economic, cultural, commercial, investment and tourism sectors.
The parties also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments on mutual concern, as well as the UNGA agenda.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Simon Coveney signed a bilateral air transport agreement between the UAE and Ireland. His Highness also signed an agreement with his Estonian counterpart to boost air transport relations between the two countries.
Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Ambassador Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, UAE’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, attended the meetings. UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi, and UAE Ambassador to South Korea, Abdullah Saif Al Nuaimi, were also present.

UAE, Costa Rica to enhance ties

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met Vice President Epsy Campbell Barr of Costa Rica.
During the meeting, which occurred on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly, the two sides reviewed the bilateral ties between the UAE and Costa Rica, and means of enhancing them across various sectors.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Vice President Barr also discussed issues of interest to both countries at the regional and international arenas.
Ambassador Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, UAE’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, also attended the meeting.
