The UAE Embassy in Colombia launched the first edition of its bi-annual Spanish-language e-newspaper, titled, “Darna.â€
The newspaper is aimed at introducing the Colombian community to the UAE’s cultural, social and economic achievements.
Salem Rashid Al Owais, UAE Ambassador to Colombia, said that the embassy aims to reach out to private companies, the local business community, and Colombian government ministries and authorities through the newspaper.
Darna reported on the visit of HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, to Colombia on March 14, when he inaugurated the new headquarters of the UAE Embassy, in light of the country’s keenness to reinforce its bilateral ties with Colombia. It also covered the Special Olympics World Games 2019 held in Abu Dhabi.
Darna will report extensively on the Year of Tolerance, the role of Emirati women, Expo 2020 Dubai, and the UAE’s stature as the world’s leading provider of humanitarian aid.
