Tadweer launches Walking Initiative

Tadweer (Center of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi) has launched “Your health is important to us” initiative for its employees, with the personal participation of the Center’s General Manager, HE Eisa Saif Al Qubaisi. A number of staff from Tadweer’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Branch walked for 15 minutes within the Delma Complex and near the Center’s offices in Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, respectively.
HE Eisa Saif Al Qubaisi, GM of Tadweer said: “Enhancing the well-being of employees is part of Tadweer’s strategy and one of its core values. We’ve launched this initiative to help provide the staff with a healthy environment and encourage them to adopt a healthier lifestyle. In addition, this will help them break the routine and refresh their minds, boosting their creativity. Tadweer always strives to launch such significant initiatives that create an attractive environment for employees and improve their productivity, performance, creativity and efficiency.”
Eng. Hani Hosni, Head of the Environmental Health and Safety Management Department at Tadweer, said: “This initiative aims to promote a healthy lifestyle among employees and reduce the risk of some chronic and common diseases in our region, such as diabetes and heart diseases. Walking is very important and helps the body clear out daily stress and anxiety, boosts feelings of happiness and tranquility, and strengthens fitness of the body and mind, helping the employee increase activity and ability to work and meet deadlines.”
Hosni added, “The walking initiative will take place on a daily basis for 15 minutes, until it becomes part of the Center’s culture and routine. Such initiatives aim to take employees on a journey that fundamentally improves their relationship with exercise and well-being. It instills a new sense of personal responsibility, self-belief and resilience at work. By creating a positive, safe and healthy environment for employees, this campaign will help increase morale, and improve employees’ work-life balance.”
