His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, stated that Sharjah is supporting qualified UAE nationals in all areas, to find suitable solutions to the challenges facing the development of its cities and regions.
He also noted the developments taking place in many projects and services requires everyone’s combined efforts and the deployment of specialist human resources.
During his meeting with Thabet Salem Al Tarifi, Director-General of the Sharjah City Municipality, and several employees of the municipality, which was held on Wednesday in the Ruler’s Office, Sheikh Sultan was briefed about the achievements of the municipality’s agriculture and environment sector, including the establishment of an
environmentally-friendly treatment plant, which is the first government plant that treats sewage water and can be deployed in remote areas with electricity services.
He was also briefed about the new identity of the municipality’s plantations, which are named the “Sharjah City Municipality Gardens” and are being develo- -ped as per the latest relevant international standards.
Sheikh Sultan praised the efforts of the municipality to develop the city of Sharjah in the areas of agriculture and the environment, as well as to adopt the latest agricultural methods and create green areas and gardens, in line with the emirate’s environmental interests and urban development.
