Honda Motor Co. (Africa and the Middle East Office) was established in 1993 and initially the main objective was to look after only two countries in Middle East, namely KSA and UAE. Now, the company is looking after 21
countries and is offering an entire Honda range of products i.e. automobiles, motorcycles and power products.
Arijit Basu, General Manager, Honda Motor Co (Africa and the Middle East Office), said, “With Honda’s regional product offerings and services, we always strive to exceed customer expectations by selecting appropriate products from Honda’s global product line-up.”
The vision of Honda Motor Co is in line with the Honda philosophy as enumerated by its founder ‘Soichiro Honda’ i.e. to provide joy for all who come in contact of Honda brand. They believe in the value of each individual, hence at Honda, we believe that each person working here or just coming here, directly or indirectly through our products should share a sense of joy. The feeling is expressed in what we call ‘The three joys’.
“Currently we see regional customers preferring SUV’s both mid-sized and small. With our globally acclaimed CR-V, and new pilot with enhanced off road capabilities and outstanding on road comfort, we are confident to provide customers ‘joy’ in owning a Honda,” added, Basu.
The prime objective of having the company office near the market is to enhance market sensing and react based on customer needs.

Aim to achieve
The company’s aims is to enhance ‘Joy for its customers’, by enhancing
customer satisfaction and offering
innovative and futuristic products that Honda is known for. Honda has around 2.5 million happy customers in this region and it plans to
further expand its customer base with superb
products which will be launched soon.

Growth Plans
Honda Motor Co. Africa and
Middle East has introduced three exciting products in diverse segments, Odyssey J for family who wants a comfortable ride for 7-8
passengers, pilot mid –sized SUV offering
a refined on road drive and enhanced off road capability vs its predecessor.
Honda is targeting enhanced market share in the next coming years supported by its refreshed range and enhancing new technologies
on Honda vehicles. Very recently the stunning Civic targeted towards the young customers.
“We have a young regional population who need door to door transport, thus we believe market will stabilise in near future despite
current slowdown, and we are
confident of growing our share with new product offerings,”
concluded Basu.
