The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services enabling the issuance of approvals for ambulance vehicles operated by private health entities online.
This move is a part of the RTA’s strategy to step up cooperation with all Dubai government departments and share information and knowledge in relevant fields.
Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, CEO of the Licencing Agency, and Khalifa Al Darai, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, signed the MoU at the RTA Head Office in the presence of several directors and officials from both entities.
“The signing of the MoU stems from the commitment of the RTA to engage in fruitful cooperation with Dubai government departments in the interest of clients of all parties and the community as a whole. The MoU entitles the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services access to the SDDI for issuing online approvals to ambulance vehicles operated by private health entities.
The procedure is conducted under the RTA’s laws governing this service. The MoU also calls for providing the required technical support and training for the Corporation employees on the operation of the system.
“The online system will save the time and effort of private health entities seeking NOCs. It facilitates the procedures of availing licencing services online without obliging clients to visit service centres to submit documents. It realises the directives of our leaders to ease the delivery of services, switch to a paperless government environment and cut short procedures of availing the service. Thus, it contributes to the RTA’s strategy aimed at integrating services through establishing online links with government entities undertaking jobs related to the scope of the RTA,” Al Ali explained.
