In line with the beginning of the academic year and as part of the ongoing Al Ain Cultural Programme, Qasr Al Muwaiji is hosting a series of interactive and educational workshops for children, running until December 31.
Organised by DCT Abu Dhabi, the programme of workshops has been designed to engage youngsters aged 10-18 and give them the opportunity to explore the country’s heritage and cherished traditions in an interactive manner.
Taking place from 8am to 1pm, these workshops include colouring coffee, a workshop that invites participants to use cardboard and carbon paper to draw and paint coffee cups, with the aim to reflect the significant presence of coffee in local society and to view it from a contemporary perspective.
The second workshop, Creating Jewellery using Palm Wicker, encourages participants to learn about ancient craftsmanship and the importance of palm trees in Emirati culture.
