‘Mushrif Park’ renamed as ‘Mother of the Nation Park’

Pursuant to the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, ordered changing the name of the ‘Mushrif Central Park’ to the ‘Mother of the Nation Park’.
This comes in recognition of the national and social march of giving by HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
The Mushrif Central Park is one of the leading touristic, recreational and sports facilities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It has been recently inaugurated after a comprehensive renovation scheme, arising from the state’s keenness to boost the cultural and aesthetic scenery in the capital, Abu Dhabi, within UAE’s march to prosperity in all economic, cultural, architectural and humanitarian fields under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa and to achieve the protection of the environment and provide excellent services to the society.
The park encompasses a number of innovative facilities including the “Garden of Wisdom”, which enshrines the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and on its walls, his timeless words are engraved to remain as a lantern for the generations to come.
