The Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada), in collaboration with the Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), has started the relevant processes for design and construction of two kindergartens valued at an approximate AED85 million and a total built-up area of 5,119 square metres each in Al Falah as part of ‘Phase 8’ of the Abu Dhabi Future Schools Programme (ADFSP).
“The design and construction works adhere to international standards and criteria as well as Musanada’s project management system, which follows quality control standards and complies with implementation of occupational safety and health standards without compromising the environment, in accordance with a pre-agreed schedule,” said Saleh Al Ali, Musanada’s Education Portfolio
Director.
“This forms part of Musanada’s contribution to achieving the objectives of the Abu Dhabi Plan, enhancing the development of a promising generation to engage in serving the nation and the community, and enabling students by sharpening their skills and capabilities to enhance their innovation competencies,” he added.
Al Ali explained that the construction of these schools, falling within the context of the ADFSP, conforms with the best practices, be it in the design of classrooms, multipurpose halls, or the provision of an appropriate and attractive educational environment to cater to the needs of future generations. These schools comply with environmental sustainability requirements and preserve renewable energy sources, he added.
The project is a ground-floor kindergarten that consists of 18 classrooms accommodating 360 students, in addition to an administration building, a student’s rest lobby, teachers’ offices, outdoor playgrounds, landscapes and car and bus parking bays.
Project works were underway, taking into account the implementation of safety and technical quality standards for the building and users, in order to ultimately provide best educational conditions, Al Ali concluded.
