His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday honoured the supporters of Sandooq Al Watan, who have been contributing to achieving the initiative’s national objectives since its establishment.
“UAE nationals embody the quintessential Emirati values of giving, the seeds of which were sown by late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan,” said Sheikh Mohamed at the recognition function hosted on Monday at Qasr Al Bahr Majlis.
The recognition included the companies and individuals supporting Sandooq Al Watan, a national fund for youth development, since its establishment, namely Aldar Properties Company, and Armed Forces Officers Hotel & Club along with the following names: Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri; Sultan Rashid Al Dhaheri; Nagui Hassan Al Harthi, and Marawan & Hassan Al Rostamani.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed hailed the significant initiatives launched by Sandooq Al Watan and their contributions to driving the developmental drive across all fronts, underscoring the indicative’s role in unleashing and investing in the potential of youth, whom he described as the key engine of socio-economic development in the country.
He underscored the importance of such qualitative initiatives that empower youth and ensure social welfare and economic well-being by grooming cadres capable of meeting the diverse future needs of various economic and social sectors in the UAE.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed was briefed on the “Tree of Giving”, designed in honour of the initiative’s supporters and contributors. He toured an exhibition, themed “Rain of Goodness”, which featured the various forms of support provided by the initiative’s new contributors in form of rain drops watering a ‘Tree of Giving’.
The function featured an overview of the milestones made by the Sandooq Al Watan as part of its support for the UAE leadership’s vision to get geared for the post-oil era by providing a convenient environment conducive to enabling national talent to efficiently chip in the comprehensive transformational drive adopted by the country.
