Vertu aims to deliver the world’s best luxury mobile phone experience to its customers by combining expert craftsmanship and peerless materials with innovative technology and unique services. Today, Vertu leads the market that it
pioneered over a decade ago.
The Vertu range of mobile phones is made up of three distinct models — Signature, Signature Touch and Aster. The Vertu Audio Collection comprises V Headphones (HP-1V) and V Speaker (SP-1V). Vertu mobile phones are handmade in England using the world’s finest materials, with each one assembled by a single craftsman. However, Vertu has very well established its
market in the Middle East, considering it to be worlds biggest luxury market.
Gordon Watson, General Manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Vertu, said, “I’m delighted to take on the role of CEO at such an exciting time for the company. I have been with Vertu for six years and I don’t think that we have ever been in a better position to maximise the growth potential that lies within this category.”
Vertu is renowned for its curated services; a suite of carefully selected
exclusive offers, content and assistance especially selected to enhance the Vertu customer’s lifestyle. At the heart of these services is Vertu CONCIERGE, offering luxury lifestyle assistance and enrichment. Vertu CONCIERGE is on-hand 24/7 to facilitate your every request. Vertu LIFE offers personalised recommendations and privileged access to experiences and events.
In the autumn of 2015, Vertu, the world leader in luxury mobile phones, announced significant new investment for its business from Hong Kong based Godin Holdings Limited. The company also confirmed the continuity of operations at its UK Headquarters and manufacturing site, in Hampshire, England.
“The current range of Vertu smartphones perfectly combine cutting edge technology with the services proposition and build quality that the brand has long been known for. This year, we will continue to enhance all of these areas as well as our online, retail and aftersales customer experience.”
As Vertu entered its second era of private ownership since the successful sale by former parent company Nokia in 2012, the company outlined its ambitious growth plans for the business. These included opportunities identified in a number of specific markets as well as via new product developments and an expanded lifestyle services proposition, building on Vertu’s globally renowned Concierge and Life
services.
He added,“I would like to thank Billy Crotty for the role that he played in shaping the company’s future strategy and in managing the company in the initial period following the sale process. His expertise has been invaluable to the company as we have formulated the strategies that will help Vertu grow its business over the coming years. We now move forward with an expert Executive Team fully in place and a renewed sense of energy running throughout the company.”
