Ladybird Early Learning Centre is set to change the face of pre-school education in Dubai when it opens its doors to little learners aged from 6 months to 5 years-old in July 2016.
Located within Jumeirah Village Circle, the warm and welcoming purpose-built centre boasts
state-of-the-art, environmentally-friendly facilities, and will follow the UK’s Early Years Foundation stage (EYFS) curriculum in a Montessori setting. A low student-to-teacher ratio ensures children will enjoy an enriching and well-balanced programme of activities covering learning areas such as personal, social, emotional and creative development, communication, language, literacy, problem-solving, reasoning and numeracy.
Each of the 15 classrooms is purposefully designed in an open-plan style and equipped with the latest educational equipment. Additional facilities include a well-stocked library, spacious indoor and outdoor play areas, a bike track, sensory garden, smart boards and customised water play, along with art and music activities and a language lab offering Arabic, French and Mandarin Chinese. There will be exclusive classrooms and play areas for babies and toddlers including a specially designed sensory sleep room for babies with the entire 24,000 square-foot building occupying only the ground floor for heighted safety. Enhanced security features include an automated attendance system, access cards for parents and intercom in all classrooms.
“We are very excited about the upcoming opening of Ladybird Early Learning Centre, which will truly be one of the finest early years learning facilities in the world,” says Monica Valrani, CEO of Ladybird Nursery & Early Learning Centre.
“Not only will the centre be mandated by KHDA but it will undergo a rigorous inspection regime based upon the UK’s Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills) to ensure we continue Ladybird’s ethos of providing the highest standard of British curriculum, Montessori-based early years education in Dubai,” she adds. The centre’s innovative design meanwhile incorporates environmental sustainability and a reduction of the carbon footprint to positively impact the health of pupils and staff.
