The Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation (KF), launched its Ramadan food assistance programme in the Gaza Strip as part of the annual Iftar project.
A KF source said some 24,000 underprivileged families would benefit from the first phase of the Ramadan humanitarian programme which covers all governorates in Gaza.
Distribution of food baskets is being conducted in coordination with the Palestinian Center for Human Perseverance as part of its annual Ramadan initiative in Palestine to help the Palestinian people bolster their resilience so as to overcome economic hardships.
