FUJAIRAH / WAM
The Fujairah Statistics Centre began a survey to measure the level of coexistence in Fujairah, which is the first such survey in the country that aims to measure community tolerance and coexistence and encourage honest national community dialogue.
The survey is part of a partnership between the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority and participating local centres.
Dr Ibrahim Saad, Director of Fujairah Statistics Centre, noted that the survey’s main objective is to establish a comprehensive national measurement tool to measure and assess the level of coexistence in the country and analyse the results and outcomes, to draft plans and reinforce the community’s awareness of coexistence.
The UAE is a global model of tolerance and dialogue between cultures, as it hosts over 200 nationalities, he added while pointing out that the survey will accurately measure the communication and interactions between different cultures in the Emirati community.
