Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development and Chairman of the Federal Transport Authority – Land and Maritime, on Sunday issued a decision on the implementation of the minimum requirements for safe manning of ships in the UAE.
The provisions of the resolution are mandatory for ships flying the UAE flag with the exception of warships and vessels owned by the state and used for governmental purposes and not for commercial purposes. People who serve on board those ships must comply with the provisions of the resolution.
